Instead...only 95% walked out the nearest door lol. Remember the entire purpose of Jin had been to be an upgrade free server...

Why they continued to offer them for months after the merge completed is (to me) nothing more than taking advantage of tactical profits driven by and market demand.
"Cheap?" Maybe by Rohan standards...but what most people see is wtf 100+ to make one weapon? Plus what my other gear will ultimately cost...how about I just go buy a couple brand new games that don't involve any pay to win, or go join a sub game with no pay to win instead of paying that "cheap" price for a single pixel item.

The only thing that could rival the stupidity of upgrades is when they went full retard with scrolls. If they never went above 10% scrolls they'd have sold just as many, and the game would have played so much better.

They could've started by not selling/providing overpowered and stat-enhancing items on the IM and/or ingame.. They may not be able to change the actual skill, but they are able to change what affects them.
Yet, they're still too narrow-minded to change anything in that regards.

The idea behind Isen, though the horse had already bolted, wasn't all too bad. In fact, it was quite promising.. and then they started adding their crap onto the pile of already dried dung.

I remember the time where, who was it - Atzigan(?), we were asked to compile our issues with skills and come up with a skill/class balancing idea. That idea was then forwarded to Korea and as a result.. we got everything we did not ask.
We got skills that are a laughable duplicate from already existing classes.. making certain builds even more obsolete and others yet more powerful. As if they needed it, but who cares, right?

To top that off, they had this tremendous idea to implement Hero skills to the bunch.
Not only did these hero skills topple the classbalance even more over to the OP side of things, they also figured only certain builds would get the benefit out of them. Goodbye class divirsity, for the little there was left of it.

Adding Epic weapons to the game was such a failure, even PWI could not hide behind their usual wall of silence and were officially admitted to be a "mistake". Alas, instead of doing a reroll of the servers (which, at the time, was still a possibility if not the only one), they countered this with the sale of upgraded weapons.
Not only was this a quite retarded move, they also refrained from selling the last pieces - which was an incredible troll move. Not that I, personally, minded that since those weapons should not have been sold in the first place. Then, after some extreme community rage it was actually promised to us that never again an epic or upgraded weapon would be sold if it was up to said GM.
Now, you would think that would mean anything - instead, even more overpowered upgraded pieces were sold (lol?) and said GM quit relatively closely thereafter.

Now, we get a new GM (one out of how many?), who barges in full of promises, idea's and perhaps misplaced enthusiasm, and we are scolded and frowned upon for being rather hesistant.
Not only that, but we are also expected, once again, to put effort into idea's about classbalance and skill changes.

How long has teleport been disabled by now?
I am not sure if just a joke at our expense or if actually serious.

lol this is stupid. Nerfing blunt mastery would actually still solve the biggest major imbalance of it all. Also actually i would say they did have to promote and upgrade stuff and gear over the years, update the game or how else would've had they kept the game afloat up and running, and exciting to keep their players around? They running business too and definitely would have to grow it as they did at some points and still probably are in ultimately establishing and releasing rohan2 closing then down this one. What's so stupid is that almost the majority people been complaining forever that blunt mastery is ****ed up and needs fixing and all these GMs do is create useless threads asking for "input" and **** and then doing nothing at all. and this one probably wont either anyway. This is hilarious as **** though, they will soon close this **** down and GM makes a thread and expects people to believe they gonna class balance

I agree with you man. I'm not opposed to them adding new, stronger stuff on occasion...its just the way they went about it was ****ed up. Blunt mastery is a prime example...as stats got inflated it was obvious blunt mastery was scaling in a ridiculous manner...they should have fixed it years ago. Plus the other thing that I think they really ****ed up on was by releasing things that made the next best thing complete garbage. Mainly upgrades...it just amounted to spend hundreds of dollars on a weapon 4x as good as the next best thing, or go **** yourself and quit.

There was times when they actually got it right...like for example going from t5 to glacials. If you had a pro t5 it was still viable. Sure you'd want a pro glacial...but a really good t5 was still better then a junkish glacial. Shiny stones was another example of them getting it right. If you already had a pro high dd glacial...you probably weren't going to gain much forging a new one with shinies...but they were great for bringing up the dd on the low end. It made it so if you did reforge at least your old one was still useful...while it gave you a little room to improve it didn't just instantly move all your current gear to the garbage bin.

Nobody would have complained about power creep if it was done slowly with in game drops and a little money instead of via item mall and hundreds of dollars, and if it was accompanied by occasional skill patches so some of skills that didn't scale well, and the ones that were scaling too well could be adjusted.

Yea i understand ya. Though their money hunger is real. but when you look at how poor this game population is it kind of makes sense why. Even most of the stupid online games have about much more than rohan does lol. Rohan population is THAT small. and karazy got it by now, blunt mastery fix needs to be implemented at least for the little while of a no freaking broken blunt goddamn mastery before they take this whole show down and release v2. I wonder who's gonna go onto that though of those who spent ****ton of 1000s of dollars on this one? lmfao!!!!!!!! Fix blunt mastery if you think you can karazy plox.

    @Karazy
We need to see posts of the upcoming projects and plans to know if you guys are even remotely doing what we are asking/need in this game because WE don't trust GMs anymore(Sadly).
Blunt Mastery Fix now before anything else.
The games life depends on it.

After that we can talk about any other fixes, balance(Class Balancing Talisman?, Skill nerf or Boost), Caps the game needs.

My exact ideas wouldn't be right for the official server but I've been banging on about the balance way back to the old phpBB forum and was constantly put down for it.

But in the end, sorry to say, I'm always right

Uh oh! That sounds an awful lot like somebody we both know bro!

But yeah your style of balance would not work well here at all. All the power-mad that have gotten used to more, More, MORE attack power would freak out and run for the doors.

There is nothing noble about being superior to others. True nobility is gained by becoming superior to one's former self.

Yeah but at the end of the day... I AM always right I know I'm still "young" at 34 but I've never been proved wrong yet. Perhaps this is because I'm not over-aggressive with my ideas and therefore I don't develop an over-aggressive personality which could then turn into a superiority complex like that person we know.

I don't even think half of the more, More, MORE brigade would even want to play a balanced server in the first place. These parasites troll games around the world looking for little niches they can sink their receptacles into to simply to be "the best" at a game with the least amount of thought and effort.

They are the gamer equivalent of Electronic Arts.

I didn't mean that type of stat inflation, I was referring to stat points increasing, like how you can + Artisan Rings. It doesn't really matter if you have 51's or 150's, all classes and builds will benefit somewhat equally, except for two things.: Templars (because the Melee attack they gain is pure, and defense has a negligible effect on their damage after a certain point), and Vit Dekans, because as people gained more max HP, potions did not become stronger. Teardrops don't count, they are game-breaking. Back when the level cap was 99 and people had 51's, the forged pots that recovered 7.5k HP were just right. When the level cap was raised to 110 and people had 68% Glacial equipment, YNK should have realized that people would have more health, and they should have added stronger potions. Teardrops and higher Option percentages should have NEVER been added into the game.

You also talked about Higher DD and option stone percentages, I don't consider that "stat inflation", but yea, it IS a problem. I just hated when I played on private servers, people complained about dying too fast and blamed "stat inflation". They talked about Artisans being +ed too high, too much all stat stuff, and even said that Glacial itself was OP, when that wasn't the case. The real problem was Heroic Power combined with a ****-ton of pure attack. <--- Which has not been fixed in 5 years.
