New Upgrades Complaint Thread~<3

EaglePhoenix is on time out for his violations of our Forum policy, and will be back within the week with hopefully more constructive opinions and ideas. I left that thread open for a while, but it was seriously toxic and getting a little absurd. I am all about open communication, but let's try to keep the ridiculousness of the accusations down to ones that are reasonable. Blaming ME for all the issues of the game is just ridiculous, and shows the level of toxicity in our forums. If you have an issue with the upgrade sales, why not explain your grievances with complete sentences or arguments against them? Claiming that this company is just "milking it's players" is also ludicrous. We have had MANY people asking us for upgrade weapon sales, and when we finally do release it, we have 2 different situations occur. They are both currently happening right now.

The first situation is the people who were asking for and wanting the Upgrade Sale now have their sale. They are buying plenty of them, so PWI is happy that it is generating revenue AND providing their players with something they asked for/wanted.
The second situation is the group of people who are calling this "the end of times", that "the game is being ruined", that "the GM's are useless/terrible/antichrist/etc", NOT spending money, NOT providing us with the information/explanation that this game is being ruined by these items and how, NOT informed as to what changes we are working towards as a company( Spoiling the future abilities of the classes in the Korean version of the game when we run the International version for example..), NOT generating any sort of positive content whatsoever. Why would we entertain that? I left the thread open for 6 pages, and not one comment posted was positive, but even worse then that, none of the comments were even SLIGHTLY constructive. Tell me how ANYONE benefits from something like that?
If you have such issues with the weapons, why are so many people buying them? Why are they one of the most commonly requested sales that we have? I take polls, I read the forums, I play in Limestone, I talk to players online, I post threads asking how to improve the game with YOUR input, and what do you guys do? Accuse me of not caring? Of making empty promises? Of all sorts of things, few of them true. I understand why people avoid this forum, because this really is ridiculous. I made a promise to my players to improve their game, what are YOU doing? There are people on these forums that don't even PLAY the game, still hanging out here, telling people that I'm a liar? That's crazy. Almost depressing really. The person that is actively trying to connect with the community, getting ostracized for doing so?

I won't give up on the players that I made a promise to, to the old ones playing for many years, to the new ones that join us every day. I will continue to try my best each and every single day to make this game the game people loved and enjoyed playing again. I would rather work WITH my players, and that is why I try to connect with you as often as I can. THANK YOU, truly and deeply, to the MANY players who talk with me in PM's, send in tickets with information/ideas, that TRY to make this a better game by working with me. I appreciate all of your help and insight, and will continue to work hard to keep my word with you.

hello Mr. about the many many and so many people buying the new upg stats you can tell that story to my grandma. People had saidworst things on previous threads and they havent get banned, why you banned Eagle just for a little coment? btw you said toxic? well Gm or whoever is in charge, let me inform you something players here are not toxic or ridicoulous if its that the way you "pretend" to say or you maybe lost the way to express your idea, players here are sick and upset the way are treat, the bad customer service. Anyhow this is me atm how im feeling about the many many and so many players who bought the new version of upg stats

Was that thread you deleted toxic? Yep, it sure was. Can you think of a reason it got toxic? I can think of several and so could EP. He simply voiced the same opinion that the rest of us were thinking and saying - if you had really bothered to read the comments in that thread.

Did you or anyone else from PlayWith Interactive respond to any of the comments and questions that was raised in that thread? No. Not a single one. Why not? There were perfectly valid grievances voiced in that thread. Instead of actually going in there and explaining why you guys did this, you simply swept it under a rug by making the inconvenient 'toxic thread' with all the hard questions go away. Perhaps if you guys had taken the time and effort to explain the reasoning behind changing the whole stats my behind the Upgrades people would not have been quite so angry with you. You won't please everyone - particularly those that had paid you guys an awful lot of money for their upgrades less than 8 months ago.

You asked me why I am negative in these forums. After that can you honestly expect me to anything but negative? Are you guys actually expecting me to praise you for your wisdom?

Everyone angry with it cuz US changed stat, is truth lot player asked for upg sales but NOBODY asked for a new version of it, What about player that paid for old version? they got compesation? Im really sure the answer is NO, alot player wasted money in old version now this weapon got useless. Us would sell it with old stat no new attributes.

You are right. I agree with you. Players are not asking for new version of upg. Let check old upg and epic weapons. Those ppl who bought them have to buy new upg with new version again. It's call REDICULOUS as Karazy GM said. GM Karazy, please check your words before you type on forum: use the word " rediculous" right as it has its own meaning.

I made2 threads, is more easy delete them than been bother to reply our concerns but noooo, he deleted those and said "toxic and ridicoulus" also "many players bought the new upg stats version" im still feelingless lol

I've been here since 2009 and I'm an active player.

You say Eagle was toxic and blatant, so I’ll try not to blame anyone, just present some issues.

So, few years ago I was selling celes and ses stones and automatically copied lines, so instead of a ses a person bought 5 cele for 100 rps, prices were the same. I was banned the same day and my account was blocked.
I got a reply saying I broke TOS rules.
Of course, I read the TOS rules again and again and I found nothing about making a really absurd and obvious mistake. It says you have to check what you’re buying, it says you should not try to deprive players of their items and money, but this was not the case with me.
Later my account was restored, but my em membership was banned forever. All I’ve got so far are automatic messages.
This is just one example how active players are treated.

Ok, I play anyway, but in the meantime I’ve seen GMs are making far bigger mistakes with their belated messages on the screen, with weapons (I bought upgs and got one wrong piece so I had to wait to get the right one).

And also, a few months ago I asked why don’t you change time for cv and pa and I got no reply. Some other person later brought it up and we got nothing but an empty promise. Is it so hard to consider and implement this silly little thing?

On the other side, I don't remember any forum discussion about modifying upgrades, so this change might be called absurd, so it is not surprising that people feel unhappy about the interventions which were never asked for.

True, the game is ruined because there are people with 100% dd and unbalanced classes. My ranger, with really far better gear than a temp can’t survive in the same environment and can’t hit the same! If you invest the same amount of money and time, you should expect at least similar result, but it's not the case.

Please don’t take it personally, because we all know that nobody can blame any GM for what happened in the past.

I appreciate that you opened this thread and frankly expressed your opinion. Usually GMs just give us notices, so this was quite refreshing.

So instead of deleting the Thread you might want to wonder why it got all toxic in the first place (Mr. Bandit explained this perfectly).

To sum it up:

Yes the players ask for upgrades but they did not ask for DIFFERENT upgrades. Changing them has a huge impact on the game, some people who bought upgrades like Crossbows, Daggers, Clubs, Dual Swords are now feeling screwed over because new upgrades are released with much better stats so they basically lost their money. The players also BEGG for balance, instead of balancing things you put 3xx vit 130% hp zhens in the mall so vit dekans can reach 800k hp and hit 1 mill dffs (im not kidding I've seen vit dks doing over 1 mill dffs). So they 1 shot everything even the best geared temps etc. This is not considered to help BALANCE the game in any way.

You keep saying there is so much negativity but honestly, if the GM team would actually REALLY listen to their players and do what they asked from them (not into the rediculous but it would have been so simple to just put up another upg sale with upgs with the same stats because THAT is what people asked for). I see you are trying to do your best and change some things around here but honestly the small things that change in our favour get undone by the huge mistakes that are made subsequently.

If you want to help this game then do something about these things:

- Do something about the EM inflation, New players quit because its impossible to afford new rings. Make it easyer to get bossdrops and make it easier to + them
- Balance classes: Vit Dekans, Str Dhan, Str Noir, Int Templar are OP in pvp. Nerf them and give other classes more potential in pvp by boosting them

- If you want to sell UPG weapons(or any other expensive OP item/change) then have a poll, get a squad of players together that know how this game works and let them test them(those items) on the event server. ASK our opinion about big changes BEFORE you apply them. The only time I ever saw real player input was when you guys tried to give the class talisman to every class (which eventually never happened) but at least it was discussed, it was tested on the event server and the outcome might have been good. If you test upgraded weapons and if you test other things BEFORE they are applied then people 1. know its comming so they wont go nuts because they wasted their money a month ago on other upgraded weapons and 2. it will be way better balanced if its tested instead of randomly thrown in the game like a bone to a pack of wolves.

I have been saying stuff like this for YEARS and many people with me have but these things never get properly fixed. Now you keep saying your player base is toxic but thats how YNK and PW MADE us, simple as that. Yes, every time again I keep repeating myself like a parrot and write down the things that have to be fixed, I can write a full report on this forum about things that have to be fixed or things that need to be changed and I have done it multiple times in the past but never has anything big happened. In general all that happens is 3 really small steps into the right direction and then a huge leap into the wrong one so basically nothing happens.

So maybe (and this is not just addressed to you but to every GM) you should start making some real changes and you will see that most of the player base thats currently ''toxic'' will actually tell you that you did a good job and they enjoy the balanced gameplay (something I dont believe will ever happen but if it does im 100% sure people will be happy including me).

yes it is very disappointing to have to previouse new upgrades go obselite so soon and having several of them my self this just might be the final straw. we all know pw is not going to offer an exchange to the new weapons for players who JUST purchased upgrades during the last sell. ive enjoyed playing for the last serveral years but think now is time to move on to other things.
