Long very long ago, when rohan first start about 7 years ago maybe or more I forgot. I was played it for maybe 2-4 weeks before I quit(for some reason). I just got back recently about this July or August. And yes I was like a lonely soul wandering on Einhoren and Par'Talucca. I even leveling alone from lv 1 - 68 in a random map, lastly I remember I was hitting some varg at Rima map region.

Back there 7 years ago, I saw so many players. They leveling on almost every map and dungeon, not like today, mostly people leveling on lower, upper, ronelia, or such mainstream dungeons(long ago popular dungeon is Rahkon, well nobody in that place now). I bet even some players today don't even know Ekzine Warrior, Beholder, Shadow Curse, Roughback Drys, Amazon Archlord, Berserker Varg or such monster in regular maps. Or when someone ask you, where are you now? And you answered, "I'm at Dharvegawan/Liom". Prolly he will say : "Where in the world is that?"
Sometimes that makes me laugh.
There are indeed people who leveling solo on some spot, or they jut prolly farming.

So if you say "Rohan is dead?" I would say it depends.
if you were a long ago player and comparing it with now, the answer is YES. It is dead like hell.
if you are just a newbie and never see the old first year rohan than maybe you can see this game is(have) not dead yet, did I say "yet"?

But forget that, the word "dead" for a game like this is actually depend on yourself.
If you play this game and you still have fun despite anything happens(maybe you lost upg weapon xD), then the game is not dead for you, but even if there are 1 million people playing but you got no fun here, then the game is dead for you, simple as that. The proof is those people at limestone, they always cursing the game, saying I want to quit soon, but you will still found them for next day, next week, and prolly next year.

And if there's no pvp, then make some. Go find some kos and annoy them enough and they will (hopefully) retaliate. And there you have some pvp.

Im a priest and I often go out looking for trouble and make pvp for something to do. If you play this game and cant find anything to do, then play something else and come back when things pick up again. I've played Rohan since day one and I can honestly say I still love it as much now as I did back then

I agree with you and I'm among those who play, of course not on old spots.
Sometimes we go to ash or sup, so perhaps there are 20 or more parties there at the same time, but it can't be seen
