I don't know about you, but the 51 ring period was pretty balanced. Same with when Gratt was not introduced yet, given you had an upgrade or epic and a few drops under your belt to dish out reasonable damage against 6x DD and above. Sure, there's things to find wrong, mainly classes and characters that were either ill-suited for PvP(Savages, Scouts) or underwhelming compared to others(Wizzard>Warlock, Avenger>Predator), but it wasn't this fundamentally broken mess of people with 40k HP getting 2-hitted from AOEs.

Sure when a templar used to run around and keep winning pvp till another templar log on, it was so balanced you rite.

You're wrong, but even if that were the case, how's the current state of the game any different, please tell?

Back when 51s where a thing, I could get 100k HP on a Vit Def easily, with one weapon mind you, while Temps would dish out 2k-2.5k, maybe 4k with Arcane, Alm Scroll and 20s. That would mean 25 hits without accounting for block chance, tear drops, holy wine, Obli, Psy Shield, sit spamming, full heal, etc.etc.
Temps were ridiculously powerful against anything that had no DD or was full str/dex/agi/psy/int with their 15k-20k HP, but that's to be expected if you are a offensively built. Back then, Templar needed DN to just be able to fight, yet most of the time people didn't bother disabling the Def who was keeping the Temp up, and instead charged head-on against the Temp. And the Def just sits there and tanks the damage. I know a number of players who beat Templar back then on a regular basis, it wasn't impossible, you just needed to play smart.

Dhans kill templars 1vs1 easy.
Guard with 95+dd / 100dd too.
Dekans can also one shot them.
Warlocks can also survive and kill templars (if str).

Have you seen that happend before ? And ofc, I mean with decent gear on both.
Not me. Templar always won till another templar log and fight it.

You have no idea how Heroic Skills + op stats/talisman items have fcked this game.

It takes a bit more effort, maybe a HP weapon, and waiting for Reflect to finally wear off, but it was never an impossible feat, whereas the instances above in reality are just highlighting how broken the new Ave skill/100+% DD/Heroic Power really is.

• Dex guard ? Yes, if you zerg and templars were no using Lion (Hawk if I'm rite ?), still invalid, there's no way to win a 1vs1 on dex guard against a templar, exept if the Templar is a total dumbass.

• Last hit ffs doesn't count either. Best vit dekan was Lamia (at that moment ofc) and his 10,7k ffs scrolled with Marea... Templars with 51s had 25-30k hp scrolled also... Go math plz. Do you even use your head before to write ?
• Yes, Heroic skills are broke, tier 1 was acceptable, tier 2 are just retarded.

He was doing that way before Bossdrops were even in the game. I had the pleasure of seeing him do that again in one of the P Servers a few years later.

I was talking about a 1v1 that SPP and I made after merge(we both had upgrades. While I did use Beze/Ruler because it was on Algis' account, the added damage only increases your damage in CS by 200, which was negligeable, so it was fair). It took a bit of time before the right conditions were there, but yes, it's possible. In the 51 period I probably would just used a Max HP/DD Dagger until the Temp has no reflect, then switch to dex/crit if you can stun him. A Temp without Emp is not going to reach 2k DPS with 51s.

Leave your idle threats where the sun doesn't shine. SPP was the one getting wrecked, I only added the "right SPP?" as an instance in which I proved it to be possible to kill a Temp with a dexguard.

I just looked at one of Flare's old videos, in which he has 15k HP with 51s, which would HP scrolled/arcane'd amount to 20-22k tops. Not totally impossible if the Temp has no pots off cooldown and get's sleeped between FFS CD.
