Since you are a big spender, Ran/Jin is the place to be. They are selling upgrades every month so you will have a happy place to spend all that cash.
There is nothing noble about being superior to others. True nobility is gained by becoming superior to one's former self.
Your view of spending is still flawed.
Whereas an upgrade may cost a decent amount of rps, you are still more likely to spend a whole lot more on Isen over time.

If you have deep pockets Ran/Jin has a much higher cost of entry. Anybody that wants to enjoy playing there will be spending $80+ US on at lease one upgrade weapon. Add that much again if you want more than one. Then to buy all the other latest armor, accs, pets and other crap you need to survive in Ran/Jin and you have dropped at least $200 US just to get in the door. It doesn't stop there. You will still spend $50+ US every month for the scrolls, ASES and other powerups you will need to stay viable. That ongoing cost will be hither in Isen. By how much more per month I don't know, but you are not dropping that money up front just to get in the door.
But yes, you are correct. Isen isn't cheap either and the ongoing costs top play there are higher indeed.
You will spend a hella lot of money regardless of which server you go in. I just think you will enjoy your time in Ran/Jin more because you will be more powerful to start with and there is at least some PvP there. If you have the deep pockets it takes for the startup costs.
