How to: Strength Dekan

At first, this is a Dekan Guide for like every possible and known dekan build.
I'll explain build's for Strength dekan's (Knights and Sages), Intelligence dekan's, Separation dekan's and I'll give a short word to the Vitality dekans, too.
This Guide isn't a help for lowlevel dekans at first, more it's meant as a help for highlevel dekans.

I saw alot of dekan guides which were incomplete or overall not perfect. I always posted my mind there but I hadn't went very far with that over time. Acctually im bored of it, so I'll give you some very nice idea's which not very much people know till now.
Just for that, I wouldn't say mine is a perfect build, but it's acctually one of the effectives.
I made the build's with my own idea's. I thought long about every single skill and how it can belong to the "greater use".
I discussed alot with other dekan friend's and got some of the idea's from them. Thank's at this point to Beleren (Pro str dekan of ahkma server) and OLethalO (some nup int dekan from ahkma but with good idea's thought). ;)

Symbols for Skills:

! = Recommended to make lvl 7
!! = Recommended to make lvl 7 if you can afford it

Short information about the skills:
- All skill's which can be made level 6, should be made level 6!
- I just listed the PURE skill point's stated in one skill not the level's with skill stone's.

Ok so let's get started. The first build i want to explain is the Strength dekan build! (Including Str Sage, Str Knight, Sepa)
I am myself a strength dekan so i know very well about it. ;)

1) ~Stats~

There isn't a best build ofcourse but some recommended for level 99.

- 3 Str / 1 Vit:

It's the most stated build from all. But acctually it's very weak, if you are new to rohan. You need to afford good equipment to get a high Vit and PD.

(3/1->50)(4/2->60)(5/1->70)(6/2->99)

- 3 Str / 1 Vit Hybrid

Well, this is the same build like the one before just with the easy differnce that you add half/half after 50.
This is a build for newbie's. Enough damage, high HP even without good equipment.
Even myself had this build till 99. I even had it when I worn +5s. It's a pretty nice build. ;)

(3/1->50)(3/3->70)(4/4->99)

- Full Strength

Well, i think the titel say's everything...
This build is only recommended if you can afford VERY GOOD equipment. I recommend to only go full strength on 99 with full +6s or even +10s, godly zhen (max melee with like 50 bonus stats Str/Vit), high str earrings/googles and all talisman's.

(Full Strength)

- Strength with base Vit

I would say this is one of the best kind's of build's. You'll have some HP and quiet enough damage. But it's recommended to be high graded equiped. Mean's +6s or higher.

(Base Vit (Example 100 base vit)/Rest Str)

Note: Don't add Dex at any of this build's. Endgame equipment and Item Mall stuff will give you enough Dex to reach around 300 selfbuffed which is quiet enough.

DRAGON KNIGHT!

PVE:

2a) Dragon Knight skills:

- 5 Frozen

- 1 Seperation
- 5 Dragon's Power (!)

- 5 Penetrate (!!)
- 5 Toxic Potion

PVP:

- 5 Forced Lock (!!)
- 5 Penetrate (!!)
- 5 Toxic Potion

// Added H2M for guards mana absorb skill
// Made Soul Divider level 5, longer sepa stun
// Made Suction level 1, kinda useless in pvp

3a) Equipment:

- Max melee zhen with Damage Drop and str/vit bonus stats if possible.

- Max melee dagger with Critical Percent.

- Max vit zhen with Damage Drop.

- Max HP zhen with Damage Drop. (Not needed but nice if you can afford it)

- Max melee zhen with Critical Percent. (Not needed but nice if you can afford it)

4a) Gameplay:

Normaly you always have your max melee DD zhen equiped. It's your main weapon in evolve.
Ok imagin you find a good target. Let's say a guardien.
You start attacking him. Use toxic potion. Equip your max HP zhen and use Forefoot Swing. Use Dragon's Tail and Zhen Counter to get some bonus damage before your main damage combo can start. Stun your enemy with Penetrate. Equip your Max Melee Dagger and activate your Fast Shadow.

-> Toxic Potion to avoid poting of your enemy if your combo hurt's him alot.
-> Forefoot Swing as a startup. With level 99 it's another 3-4k damage which hurt's alot. ALWAYS use it if it's ready and your HP bar look's ok. ;) (Equip you Hp zhen)
-> Dragon's Tail and Zhen Counter to do some extra damage. They do both like 2-3 times the damage of your normal attack so always use them when they are ready. Note: Don't use them while Fast Shaodw is on.
-> Penetrate is one of your best attack skill's so always use it when ready. In Combination with Fast Shadow it's deadly.
-> Fast Shadow + Lunacy + Forced Lock + Dragon's Nail + Max melee Crit dagger
With this combo you'll hit like 200-250 attack speed mean's you hit 4-5 time's a second. Crit's make this combo deadly and the stun's from Dragon's Nail will lagg your opponent.

Imagine the guardien uses OS or CS. Use Dark Spell and sleep him to avoid this skill's.

-> Dark Spell is used to avoid deadly skill's.

The guardien stun's you or someone root's you. Use dragon skin to avoid damage under stun and leave extricate for root's.

-> Dragon Skin to avoid damage under stun, Extricate to avoid root's.

Now your getting alot of damage because of OS + CS. You cant avoid it and you think you can't get away fast enough. So easily switch to your max vit zhen. That will give you alot more PD and a slight HP push, too. Make's it easier to survive str classes and dhan's.
Ok, but now a templer crosses your way. Templer damage is armor spiking, so don't use your vit zhen. Instead use your HP zhen and Heal/Pot. That should be a very big HP push so you might survive the temp. ;)

-> Switch weapon's in critical situation's.

At this point i want to explain Health Funnel fast.
Always use it if you hit 3/5 of your max HP. Including the cast time of Health Funnel you'll be at 1/2 HP when you getting much damage. That's still enough to heal you up to like 5/6 again.

-> Dont use Health Funnel to late or it won't heal enough! If you are under 1/2 HP and getting alot damage input, USE POTS!

Ok now you getting debuffed. Most dekan's think they are useless now. FALSE!

Cast Seperation. Activate Frozen and the show can begin.
Seperation is deadly in combination with Forced Lock, Fast Shadow and a Crit Zhen.
Ofcourse you can equip your Crit Zhen the whole time but only when you're not getting much damage input.

-> Use Seperation when debuffed.
-> Fast Shadow and Forced Lock will make your damage output alot higher.
-> Use Frozen and hope you slow your enemy with it so you can pull off a whole Fast Shadow on him. It's a slight bonus damage too, ofcourse.

Now there are some combination's you can make when using Seperation and Normal Zhen Skills.
Work with debuffing Seperation and use your Normal Zhen Skill's in a fight. Or easily start a Seperation fight with Forefoot Swing and Penetrate then buff Seperation.
Just one example how it can look:

Toxic Potion -> Forefoot Swing -> Penetrate -> Seperation (Activate Frozen) -> Fast Shadow -> When Penetrate stun runs out use Soul Divider -> Debuff Seperation -> Penetrate -> Forefoot Swing

That's just one example, ofcourse. You don't need to debuff Seperation.
Another combination would be:

(In Seperation mode already)

Toxic Potion -> Soul Divider -> Fast Shadow -> Soul Divider if your enemy stay's as long -> Dark Spell if your enemy run's so he don't get away -> Debuff Seperation -> Penetrate -> Forefoot Swing

Or if your enemy stay's all the time:

Toxic Potion -> Soul Divider -> Fast Shadow -> Soul Divider -> Debuff Seperation -> Penetrate -> Forefoot Swing -> Dark Spell -> Seperation -> Wait for Dark Spell's end -> Soul Divider -> Fast Shadow -> Debuff Seperation -> Penetrate -> Forefoot Swing

As you can see, you can do alot of effective combination's to get a high damage output.
You can make a never ending circle with all these skill's. Only if you have the right enemy ofcourse.

=! Seperation does nearly the same damage with Frozen and the higher attack speed as in Evolve! You just don't have nice skill's like Suction and Dragon's Nail plus your HP is lower!
=! Seperation doesn't reduce melee. It just reduces the base damage of your weapon!
=! Seperation isn't 60% faster then Evolve because of Lunancy. Mean's only 25-30% attack speed more!

DRAGON SAGE!

2b) Strenght Sage skill's:

- 5 Frozen
- 1 Taunt
- 1 Seperation
- 1 Health to Mana
- 5 Dragon's Power (!)
- 5 Forefoot Swing (!!)
- 5 Dragon's Tail
- 1 Zhen Counter
- 5 Health Funnel
- 5 Dragon skin

- 5 Zhen Mastery (!)
- 5 Critical Immunity (!)
- 1 Extricate
- 5 Evolve (!)
- 5 Suction
- 1 Dragon's Mantle
- 5 Splitter (!!)
- 5 Impenetrable (!!)
- 5 Moving Shadow (!!)
- 5 Heavy Wave
- 5 Dragon Wing
- 1 Imprint
- 1 Mana Guard
- 5 Rapid Lock
- 5 Death Flow (!!)
- 5 Full Blown Attack

3b) Equipment:

- Max melee zhen with Damage Drop and str/vit/dex bonus stat's if possible.

- Max melee dagger with Critical Percent and str/dex bonus stat's if possible.

- Max vit zhen with Damage Drop.

- Max HP zhen with Damage Drop. (Not needed but nice if you can afford it)

- Max melee zhen with Critical Percent. (Not needed but nice if you can afford it)

4b) Gameplay:

(Recommended to read Dragon Knight gameplay)

Most of the gameplay and skill's are similar to the Dragon Knight so i won't explain them again. ;)

So let's start with some of the differnce's.

One reason why some of the str build's choose sage is because sage has 1 attack skill more, alot faster movement, more PD and the most important point, he can split his attacks.

-> Moving Shadow/Rapid Lock/Splitter:
One of the deadliest combination's.
Always use your Crit dagger while Moving Shadow is on. Main reason of that is to make your base attack speed higher so you get out alot more hit's.
Rapid Lock add's some bonus damage to your crits. Ofcourse they aren't as high as crit's of Dragon Knight's because Rapid Lock only add's Dex/Int but it's still some bonus damage. (Like 800 selfbuffed PvE so not that great)
Now to the funniest part, Splitter. Wow i just love that skill in combination with Moving Shadow. With a dagger you get out around 2-3 AOE's per second. That's a massive lowbie killer in PvP and a good farming methode in PvE.
Remember that suction work's for AOE's so it will heal you for every monster hit with one AOE.

-> Splitter good for farming and lowbie killing.

Well, Impenetrable is pretty self explaining. It give's you alot PD which is good for farming at high level area's and in PvP against str classes.

Coming to Imprint. A good skill to detect vanished Players. Good against dhan's.

Death Flow and Full Blown Attack:

Make's your overall damage output alot higher so always use them when ready but try to use them in combination with Fast Shadow.
Let's take a look at Dragon Wing. This skill is pretty underrated. Everyone know's the problem of running enemy's or even too fast enemy's. This problem is done with Dragon Wing. You'll get after enemy's and away from enemy's fast enough. Mean's you'll kill more and won't die too much.

Seperation:

At this part we have a main difference to Dragon Knight. The missing stun skill of seperation. Bad against running enemy's but on the other hand we have more damage output due Heavy Wave. Always use Heavy Wave when ready!

Same combination's as Dragon Knight. Just with the easy differnce that you use Death Flow and Full Blown Attack instead of Penetrate and Heavy Wave instead of Soul Divider.

=! Seperation is the full 60% faster!

SEPERATION!

2c) Seperation build skill's:

Dragon Fighter:

- 5 Frozen
- 1 Taunt
- 1 Seperation
- 5 Dragon's Power (!)
- 5 Forefoot Swing (!!)
- 5 Sepa Slash (!!)
- 5 Nail Zhen
- 5 Health Funnel
- 5 Dragon's Skin
- 4 Health to Mana
- 5 Mana to Health

Dragon Knight:

- 5 Zhen Mastery (!)
- 5 Blue Defense (!!)
- 5 Critical Immunity (!)
- 2 Extricate
- 5 Mist
- 5 Forced Lock (!)
- 5 Penetrate
- 5 Toxic Potion
- 5 Fast Shadow
- 5 Soul Divider (!!)
- 5 Dark Spell

3c) Equipment:

- Max melee zhen with Damage Drop and str/vit/dex bonus stat's if possible.

- Max vit zhen with Damage Drop.

- Max HP zhen with Damage Drop. (Not needed but nice if you can afford it)

- Max melee zhen with Critical Percent. (Not needed but nice if you can afford it)

4c) Gameplay:

In my Opinion Seperation is one of the funniest gameplay's you can have at the dekan class. ;)
Acctually there isn't very much to explain anymore. The most tactic's did I mentioned before already, so I'll just give a short look into the Sepa world.

Well, your main damage output come's from your Fast Shadow combo's like always.

Seperation + Fast Shadow + Forced Lock + Frozen + Crit Zhen

This combination is as fast as the Fast Shadow + Dagger combo of Str dekan's and it does like the same damage too.
Overall the attack speed is 25-30% higher too so your constant damage can hold up with Str Dk also.

Sepa Slash is your best skill. It does like two times more damage then penetrate so always try to use it when ready. It will raise your damage output by alot.

Now to a little new part of dekan's, the Health to Mana. In the other build's I didn't recommended to skill them due suction. Ofcourse Sage's don't have mana leech also, but they can hold up their mana better then sepa dekan's. Anyways, it would be a waste of skillpoint's for them.
The reason why it's recommended for sepa dekan's to skill it is, because you can use it in combination with Mana to Health, which is quiet usefull to hold your less HP up. Overall you get more damage in seperation mode. Mean's you'll be short on HP backup's so this should be a welcomed method.

Well, we know how to use Dark Spell and Toxic Potion already so i won't explain it again.

Coming to Blue Defense now. Acctually this isn't a realy good skill and not recommended to skill at Evolve build's but pretty usefull for our Sepa dekan. Sepa dekan's normaly got a little lower PD then Evolve builded dekan's so even 30-35 damage dropped is nice. Another nice feature of Blue Defense is, that it drop's the minimum damage to 0. Mean's if you run into a group of lowbie's and they hit you for minimum damage, 20-30 damage, they'll hit 0. Pretty nice to destroy lowbie guild's in tb. ;)
Btw, if you can afford it make it level 7. Will be more comfortable for you.

Another nice skill for Sepa dekan's is Mist. It can be used to get away or start hidden attack's like an assassin so you always have the surprising moment on your side. ;D

The combination's you can do with Sepa are quiet the same as with the Dragon Knight. You dont need to skill Forefoot Swing and Penetrate ofcourse but i would recommend it because of the slight extra damage and another stun which you'll have then.

Ok... We are coming to the end of Strenght build's already. I hope the guide was quiet usefull till now. ;)

So lets start with another topic:

How to: Intelligence Dekan

A realy funny build in my opinion.

1) Stats:

- 3 Int / 1 Vit

Oh yea the good old 3/1 build. Effective but a little bit squishy. You should try to get good equipment.

(3/1->50)(5/1->60)(4/2->70)(6/2->99)

- Full Intelligence

The build with the most damage output by far but very very squishy. You should be able to get 10's and high graded equip so you won't die as much.

(Full Intelligence)

- Int with base Vit

One of my favorite build's because it isn't that squishy and your damage output is still high. But still, you should be able to afford very good equipment otherwise you won't go very far. Recommended for player's who want to have a little bit more HP.

(Base Vit (Example 100 base vit)/Rest Int)

2) Skills:

PvP-PvE

Dragon Fighter:

- 5 Frozen
- 1 Taunt
- 1 Seperation
- 5 Dragon's Power
- 2 Health to Mana
- 5 Mana to Health
- 5 Health Drain (!)
- 5 Breath (!)
- 5 Health Funnel
- 5 Dragon Skin

Dragon Sage:

- 5 Zhen Mastery
- 5 Critical Immunity (!)
- 2 Extricate
- 5 Evolve (!)
- 5 Mana Guard (!)
- 1 Imprint
- 5 Rapid Lock (!!)
- 5 Death Flow
- 5 Moving Shadow (!!)
- 5 Suction
- 1 Dragon Mantle
- 5 Splitter
- 5 Impenetrable (!!)
- 5 Dragon's Wing

Pure PvP

Dragon Fighter:

- 5 Frozen
- 1 Taunt
- 5 Dragon's Power
- 5 Forefoot Swing (!)
- 2 Health to Mana
- 5 Mana to Health
- 5 Health Drain (!)
- 5 Breath (!)
- 5 Health Funnel
- 5 Dragon Skin

Dragon Sage:

- 5 Zhen Mastery
- 5 Critical Immunity (!)
- 2 Extricate
- 5 Evolve (!)
- 5 Mana Guard (!)
- 1 Imprint
- 5 Rapid Lock (!!)
- 5 Death Flow
- 5 Moving Shadow (!!)
- 1 Suction
- 1 Dragon Mantle
- 5 Splitter
- 5 Impenetrable (!!)
- 5 Dragon's Wing

// Added FFS, third nuke.
// Removed Sepa
// Removed 4 points from suction

3) Equipment:

- Max magic attack Zhen with Damage Drop.

- Max Melee OR Int dagger with critical percent. (PvE & PvP)

- Max Vit Zhen with Damage Drop.

- Max HP Zhen with Damage Drop. (Not needed but nice if you can afford it)

4) Gameplay:

For this build you'll have to switch alot between the MA zhen and the Int dagger. The weapon you need to use depend's on the moment you're in. If you're getting alot of damage it's better to use the MA Zhen or even the Vit Zhen. When you want to Breath someone you need to equip the MA Zhen ofcoure (MA Zhen > Int Zhen for Breath dmg), while you need to switch to the dagger when you attack your enemy with melee attack's.

So at first let's talk about your two main damage skill's, Breath and Health Drain.
They are spike damage skill's, reaching up to 15-20k PvP damage together. So always use them when they are ready. Be sure your MA Zhen is equiped. As a third nuke you can use FFS. Be sure your max HP zhen is equiped before using this skill. ;)

Now we are coming to another nice method to get some bonus damage out of this build. In Pvp you can raise your damage output by alot when using Rapid Lock plus Int - Crit dagger. With Moving Shadow, this tactic gives you alot of bonus damage. Splitter make's your Crit's an AOE by chance.
In Pvp i recommend to use a melee crit dagger because the normal damage drop and physical defence of a mob isnt as high as on players. Your normal melee attacks are quiet effective and your crits are still realy good. Splitter splits your attacks which make's you able to solo alot of spots like R5.

Another nice skill is Dragons Wing. This skill makes you faster then every other class, making it easier to fight against high dps classes. Run, nuke, run, nuke.
Also making you able to avoid some of the debuffs.

When you are getting alot of damage just activate your Mana guard. On high levels it can prolly tank around 30k damage. Using Health to mana and Mana to health in combination, makes you backup your HP very quickly. And ofcourse you have your Health funnel as another backup.

Comment: Some people go Knight for Toxic Potion and Sleep, so you can nuke 2 times without having your enemy poting. This build is just leaking on Defence and regular attack damage.

Well, thats it for int dekan already. ;)

More coming soon... This guide isnt complete and it need a short overwork but i hope its quiet helpfull already. ;)

Fews comments to make myself as well...As for zhen counter, i strongly advise making it 5 or higher...It is still an attacking skill and aoe as well so you can suction from other players around you as well...

Strongly advise you not to go full str until bedrons if you decide to stay on the str path, i'm still at the 3/1 build myself, 2-3 more lvls until i'll restat to full str...And i recommend getting max hp zhen with at least 4x % dd so you can do some serious FFS, if you gear yourself up well, you could be hitting well over 4k FFS's as a str dk which is my plan, getting there soon ;) . As for the crit melee zhen, that's an interesting idea but only good for in 1 v 1's, not in ganks considering no DD on the zhen itself...but i will def give it a shot, not expecting much out of it considering the ganks ;)

1) At the point "Strenght with base Vit" - is that 2 str 2 vit and so on?

2) Hmm.. i have a question! who would be the best build of the dekan if they fight to each other and if they have the same equipment?

3) My skill tree is now:

Blazing 5
Frozen 1(was a mistake)
Taunt 1
Dragons power 5
Forefoot Swing 2
Dragons Tail 1
Separation 1
Sepa splash 1
Nail Zhen 1
Health Funnel 5
Dragons Skinn 1
HP to MP 1

have i made a lot of mistakes? because i am 3 str 1 vit dekan and i would be a dragon knight.

Thanks for your guide! ;)

Well acctually everything you wrote is explained in the guide. :)
Zhen counter just increases the AOE each level up, damage is the same. Making FFS lvl 5(7) instead of Counter is much more effective. ;)
This guide is for level 99s with good gear so yes, you should only go full strength with godly gear and even then i recommend to use a 100 vit base to get some tankish hp.
The FFS/Hp thingy is explained in the guide. :)
To the Crit/Melee zhen. This is an exchange weapon for fast shadow in seperation mode. I dont recommend it to carry it the whole time because of surviving issues.

/E: Lol your right, i realy didnt wrote the ffs thingy in the gameplay section. Just wrote it in my newer guide which i didnt posted. Will correct it asap. ;)

Well, it depends on the pvp skills ofcourse but i would say Full strenght and strenght with vit base will do the fight.
With "strenght with vit base" i mean 100 vit on lvl 99 selfstated and without gear. means 100 total points in vit but not more. This builds are for lvl 99s. ;)
If you want to go strenght with some base vit you should add 1-2 points every level till you reach your base vit.

To your build. Only mistake i see so far is sepa slash. I recommend to make HP to MP 0 because its a waste of skill points in my opinion. For what we have mana potions? :)
Blazing is oke as elemental but not the effectives so i recommend to make frozen level 5 instead to get the most power out of the DK build.

If a Str Dekan Knight attacks a Temp with reflection does Dragon's Nail reflect back to Dekan? ( I think that is the auto stun).
