    DC Issues & How to Test your Connection (GUIDE)

    I want to know a method to know how to avoid disconnection issues with my clients and how to check my ping.

    Hello Rohanians!

    If you're experiencing recurrent disconnection issues (such as error 100-5101) Disconnections or your client just shut doing certain activities), don't panic! We're sharing a comprehensive troubleshooting guide to determine what could be the possible cause and figure out the possible solution according to your case. Consider the following troubleshooting:

    There are two main causes for Disconnection/client shutdown: Network Related or Client Related. Every time you present a problem of these please consider the information that we are going to share to accelerate the discard processes and see what the most probable cause for your specific case.

    ㄴ High Ping and/or High Packet Loss
    ㄴ Actions to take to solve this
    II) Case 2: Client Related
    ㄴ Low FPS
    ㄴ MultiClient Settings
    ㄴ Crowded Areas & Specific Maps
    III) Case 3: Cannot connect to Game Servers
    ㄴ You have been disconnected (100/5101).
    IV) GM Notes:
    ㄴ About Tunneling Programs & VPN
    ㄴ When using multiclient: Stable or Performance Mode?
    ㄴ About 2nd Game Optimization

    I. High Ping & Packet Loss:

    > Measure your Ping and Packet Loss

    High ping and packet loss are key metrics that influence a lot in a stable connection.

    i) Via Task Manager:

    Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager -> "Performance" tab -> Open Resource Monitor:



    OR (FOR WINDOWS 11 USERS)

    Open Resource Monitor directly from your task bar:



    ii) Check Network Latency: In Resource Monitor, go to the "Network" tab, and check on the rohanclient.exe. Next, focus on the "Latency (ms)" and the Packet Loss (%).




    Notes: In case you're using the optimized version please checkmark the rohanclient_opt in the Task Manager. (1 check for every client)




    In case of High Ping (Latency):
    If your ping is consistently above 200-300ms, you might experience lag. Check your internet connection for stability, close background applications, and use a wired connection to lower your latency.

    If you notice packet loss:
    (e.g., 5% packet loss), this can lead to disconnections. To address this:
    -> Check your router's health and ensure there are no physical cable issues.
    -> Consider a high bandwidth Ethernet connection for greater stability.
    -> Contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) Technical Service to investigate and resolve the packet loss issue.




    If none of the recommended measures improves the situation, please send a GM through any official channel (Discord, Ticket, Facebook, Instagram) the following template:

    1) IGN (Name) of your character(s):
    2) Type of error you're getting and Screenshot/Evidence: (Discconections)
    3) Region:
    4) Do your nearby friends or players face similar disconnection problems? (Yes/No):
    5) ISP Provider (Indihome/Telkomsel/Other):
    6) Have you conducted network tests (ping tests, speed tests) to check your connection's stability, is your connection OK? (yes/no)
    7) Your IPv4/IPv6 Adress according this webpage: (https://whatismyipaddress.com/)


    II. Client Related:

    > Low FPS

    When FPS plummets to levels below 10, the client may shut down altogether, interrupting the player's session.

    > MultiClient Settings

    Some players opt to run multiple instances of the game on a single PC, known as multi-clienting. However, this practice can overload the resources of the player's PC, potentially resulting in intermittent client shutdowns. If the player's device lacks the necessary hardware resources to support multiple instances of the game simultaneously, it may lead to performance degradation or instability, causing clients to shut down unexpectedly

    Possible Solution

    * If you're using multiclient with other versions of Windows such as 7 or 8, it may not work very well, so we recommend only using Windows 10 and having plenty of RAM & CPU Power to handle the clients.

    > Crowded Areas & Specific Maps

    Specific in-game locations, such as the Power Arena with full participant capacity or Corrupt Hero Hall, can exacerbate client-related issues due to the high concentration of players.



    Possible Solution

    The GMTeam has introduced the first optimized version aimed at addressing performance issues in crowded environments. While this initial version may not be flawless, it represents a significant step forward in mitigating the impact of crowded areas on gameplay performance.

    It's important to note that the optimization process is ongoing, and the GMTeam remains committed to continuously improving performance. As such, players can expect further enhancements in subsequent updates.

    III. Cannot connect to the game Servers:

    > You have been disconnected (100 / 5101)



    Description: For some accounts, after logging in, players find themselves stuck indefinitely on the character loading screen. This means they are unable to access the game or select their characters.
    Other players can successfully log in and view their characters, but as they attempt to select a character to play, they are disconnected from the game before they can fully load into the game world.


    This can have multiple causes, but it is mainly related to the ISP provider in most cases. Please provide the GMTeam with the following information through any official channel (Ticket, Discord, Facebook)

    1) IGN (Name) of your character(s):
    2) Type of message you're getting: (Error 5101 / Error 100 or other)
    3) Country or Region:
    4) Do your nearby friends or players face similar disconnection problems? (Yes/No):
    5) ISP Provider (Indihome/Telkomsel/Other):
    6) Have you conducted network tests (ping tests, speed tests) to check your connection's stability, is your connection OK? (yes/no)
    7) Your IPv4/IPv6 Adress according this webpage: (https://whatismyipaddress.com/)


    If you have the chance to use a VPN, kindly do the test and check if the problem persists, likewise, send us the template so we can help you and check the problem in detail.

    3. GM Notes:

    > About Tunneling Programs & VPN:

    * While it's true that using VPNs and tunneling programs like ExitLag can often help resolve connectivity issues by optimizing your route to the game server, not all players have access to or use these programs. So please make sure to apply your validations correctly first.

    > When using Multi-Client: Stable or Performance Mode?

    * You can use the one you want but keep in mind that Performance Mode consumes twice as many resources as a Stable client and will depend on the specifications of your PC, also bear in mind:

    Not Recommended: In the case of multiple clients running from different folders, it is possible to run them with different versions (Performance and Stable at the same time), but it is difficult to provide support for problems that arise, so we strongly suggest to only USE ONE VERSION for all your clients.

    > About 2nd Game Optimization:
