Str Dhan Help

Hello,

I have never played a Dhan before but am looking forward to it. I cannot find any information/ builds for Dhans. I've been reading countless forums but many are outdated and always giving mixed reviews. On top of that, it appears that the origin skill tree differs slightly from the blood feud skill tree.

Currently, my main focus is a PVE build. The consensus seems to be str predator for AOE but some people also say str avengers are viable. Can you guys shed some light for me? As well can you tell me what are some must have skills, like what are my main damage dealers/ buffs?

Str avenger is more of a pvp build. Many go agility for avenger, some (like myself) go hybrid. Avenger is viable for pve but its easier to go str pred for pve. As for skills for pred, i wont be much help.

As well, what is the minimum amount of dex I should have? I seem to be missing a lot in game. Lots of posts say just 3 str 1 vit or full str, but no mention of dex.

From what I found out awhile back.. Dex could be 4x your current level. Lets say your lv50.. So 200dex would result in never seeing a miss. This calculation is for PvE only. A lv77 temp i know had 280 dex and was fine with it.

One more question everyone. Sword or Katar? It seems that katars have way weaker base damage and even with the katar mastery at level 5 would still be significantly lower than a sword. Not sure if I am doing the math right though.

You are not taking attack speed into account. Katar has 50% higher attack speed than a sword. When you factory in the katar mastery, you will find that katar and sword are equal. If you then factor in crit chance, the katar becomes better due to its attack speed,


Katar: Lower base damage + Katar Mastery, high attack speed preferred for crit-focused dhan (agi)
Dagger: Lower base damage, same high attack speed as katar but without mastery not as good. Old days you could get a sword mastery buff from guards to offset this. Not anymore.
Sword: Higher base damage, lower attack speed. No mastery and will have a lower net crit rate. Preferred for reg attack dhan (str) but still less than katars if you factor in crit rate ability.

If thats the case then lv7 broken phys is pointless for a lock

There's a cap on crit reduction (50% maximum)
