I like MMO's with vibrant graphics and organized quest system (tells you what you to do, what you need, where to go and how to get there) in non-targeted third-person platform.

Dragon Nest could have been good for me, but it's got this chibi-like avatar structure. This became a deal-breaker for me.

Good news If you guys are interested there is a new game getting released on the 30th of this month, called Destiny of Ancient Kingdoms. I saw its trailers the game and its graphics seem interesting to try. And their characters are the same as rohan, the archer, the dhan, the mage, the healer and something that looks like a dekan (he has the same skin idk about his abilities).

Each one has its strengths and weaknesses. Some free to Play, Some subscription, some buy to play (buy client, no ongoing subscription). I can't suggest one over the other based on my own tastes. It is something a player has to look at for him or her self. Of course there are no rules saying you have to choose one and only one.
I sometimes wonder why cant a company just sit down and decide to make the best long run mmorpg game. I mean todays new released mmos don't even last for a year idk where did all the creativity go to?

Do you know why most newly released MMOs don't last? That will depends on the publisher / management who handle the game. No matter how hardcore the game is, if they didn't meet their quota, they have no choice but to bring it down coz why waste their funds if they don't earn even a cent. Another thing is how they manage it. I've been a gamer for a such a long time, tried many online games from the release to their downfall. Some awesome games went down coz they just neglect the community, they just make unfavorable releases which are mostly cash related that ain't worthit, releases events that are nonsense and they don't care in player's feedback and suggestion. Worst reason is developer's choice. I don't want to tackle that part coz its very horrifying. LOL~

I dunno about that. WoW has been around for 12 years and Rohan for 8. Aion is still going strong and has been around for about 7 years It's latest NON-official servers have full open world pvp like Rohan -- except you can also PvP while flying (not in official Aion though). Tera is still going strong as well, at least whenever I log in it is crowded.

Anything newer, well, has not been around long enough to tell if they can last or not. Time will tell for those, but those games I already mentioned have been around just about as long as immersive, open world 3rd person MMORPG gaming has existed.

Probably the only reason those MMORPGs are failing is because there hasn't been enough marketing backing them up or the time they released wasn't the best. as you can see WoW, Rohan, Aion and other successful MMOs have been around for a very long time and that is probably the reason they are still up. The communities backing up those games have the dedication to keep playing while the latter doesn't bring enough gamers to the field. I am just assuming >.>
Rohan was and has been my only MMORPG while PoE the only ARPG and HearthStone the only card game that actually kept me playing till now :l

I share the similar experience with you, but mine is with a certain MOBA game. There's this beautiful game called Heroes Of Newerth, the first predecessor to DotA. The graphics are vibrant, the gameplay is very dynamic and challenging. It's very engaging and is free-to-play. But they did one fatal mistake that caused League Of Legends ascend to the highest ranks of MOBA Gaming: they turned it into pay-to-play.

Adding up to the toxicity (we take pride in having the most toxic gaming community in the world), community neglect and slowly-degenerating dev creativity, this was the final nail in the coffin for the game. Today, we are a critically endangered species, but the game flourishes somehow, in a small, sustainable way.

reached 20 lvl in that Destiny of Ancient Kingdoms game, it looks terrible, idk why but it does - graphics is ****, gameplay is ****, overall looks ****. It looks like one of those games where you push on quest npc/monster and it runs towards it, kills it, then again you push the button it again runs towards some quest destination, and all over again :/. Feels like some fb game.
