Psy priest for pve on isen

what would an ideal non-upg staff be currently for a priest to use in pve as a dps role?

Most folks attacking you will be using Physical attacks so pdef is a must. Anything that boosts hp is a plus as well since priests with low HP tend to die fast even in Isen.

Im on Januis and use just a plain old run of the mill Glacial staff, mainly for grinding. Its got max psy, DD and leach and a few other random stats. On a pretty well geared char I still only do like 3/4ks dmg and on not so good gear chars, 10/ 12k dmgs. In PA I was hitting re spawned chars/ unbuffed chars at 30ks (Was just testing things out)

In essence, I really dont think Priests are that good for dps, even with the updates. I can kill lowbies and so on, but I wouldn't stand a chance of being able to take down chars my lvl in pvp situations.

But then Im not sure how things work on Isen cuz Ive never rly played there so Im just giving you my input as a Priest whos tried out a few things.

Thanks for the insights guys, much appreciated. I main a guard on Isen and am looking to either finish gearing my scout or ditch it and gear up my priest for pve aoe. I already log my priest anyways but its just a buff slave really with the occasional vaccuum/netbind/mind blast when i get rpk'd.

Either Scout or Priest would be great. I tend to think Scout is still the better out of the two because they have the range AOE but with priest, their AOE only works at close range kinda thing (You prolly know how Judgement works anyways?)

And how exactly are you going to survive on that scout?
