Level Refining??

Hi! I just wanna know if there's a cap when refining the level of a weapon or an armor? Can it break and can I lose my item at some point? I know in the past that if you were going for more than like 30 levels it could break and you could lose your item...

limit of 32 (29 + 3) is still there. Pre-glacial is used to be 17 (14 +3)

But don't take my word forr it - try it out with a cheap lowbie piece - try to go beyond 30 (you might be able to with npc stuff) and see what happens when it fails after 30. That is how the 32 limit was found - somebody refined something cheap until it broke.

LOL. Don't use your costly upgrade to test. Buy a cheap lvl 50 NPC weapon to test the limits and see where things break.

If it breaks anywhere from -32 to -50, it would be a safe bet that the refining limit didn't change.

30lvls is the official limit. You can bypass it by doing -29 and then a -3 to get 32 dlvls.
The same as it used to be 15, but could be bypassed to 17dlvls (-14-3).
