Getting People to play rohan again

loool, I just remember you suggesting a server merge, and new upgrades that were weaker then the old ones so you could be better then everyone who had no shot at getting something as good....but it turns out new upgrades were stronger then old ones so now you whine about new upgrades.

The stats were weaker with the tradeoff of being able to farm 1/2 the parts in the game. Also the damage difference is not nearly as big as you want to make it out to be, the upgrades at the time were tier 5 while tier 6 glacials had 20% less hp but 20% more all stats and a dd range of 59-74% dd. If you think I told yngay to make the new upgrades weaker just so I could **** on you then you are sadly mistaken.

By the way..

Is there a special reason Trinity gets a boost to level 51 in but a mere few minutes, with weapon/armor, classchange and ses/statresets included - whilst other classes need to do the full grind?
Or is there some similar function for any other class?

I reckon the aforementioned (serious) exp.boost for the lower levels to be a great idea, as long as this does not result in leveling too fast in terms of getting undergeared.

Personally, I'd have preferred a serious exp boost and the removal of hunter kits for below lvl 91 (outside safezone, could keep it inside sz's for petleveling and buffing.. although the latter is becoming redundant with current self-buff changes). After that, the grind gets beyond ridicule, HK is the only salvation.
This (would) incite actual party play and not just "being in a party". Meaning, people are 'forced' to activily play at the lower till mid levels and thus socialise / make their contacts for higher levels and learn their classes. Would also increase the lowbie pvping ("this is my spot!" & "brb, getting main").

That there is a HK required for 91+ is totally understandable, because let's be fair: who in his right mind would actually grind that ridiculous exp?
Drastically increase drop rates at lower till mid levels, decrease drop rates at high levels. Why? Because you spend the least amount of your time being low-mid level and thus need everything asap, whilst you spend the majority of your time being 91+. You also grind a lot more at 91+, which results in too much crone/drops and thus inflated markets and tremendous amounts of crones people don't know what to spend it on.

..or find a decent money sink that does not neglect players who do not get that amount of crones, but still rewards those who do.

all of the above is 100% wrong.

1: Pre epics costed more than epics did. The only difference is it came from other players and yngay ****ing you on the pres luck. I remember selling UNFORGED PARTS for upwards of 12-14k rps. Get a 14% melee silver wing rod? you hit the jackpot that was 18k rps on syrephis.

2: Game has always been pay to win. All depends on your definition of winning. Back then everyone had ****ty stats and died fast so obviously you had somewhat of a chance to kill a better player. But the definition of better is still there and the guy with the highest number is the best so yeah game has always been pay to win.


Epics did make the game fun I wish there was a way to have epic stats AND make it so the average joe or average complainer as I call them can earn one ohwait I suggested that 64654354 times yngay werent listening.

I'll simplify, since you missed it... The point is that before epics, everyone could get everything. You could be lvl99 with all the goodies and have spent no money at all. Simple enough for you?

That's how a real Free-To-Play game should work, and that's why there are thousands of others MMO's that aren't 1/10 of what Rohan is in terms of quality and they still have more players then Rohan.

Not everyone is rich, or works, or has the interest in spending money on games, but those who don't are usually the ones who make the game run... The average player makes games exist! It's that simple!

But, by all means, you are right, because you are now the proud owner of a 10.000$ worth pixel image! Good job!

You could still get 23k rps to buy an epic after they came out. This game is still 100% free to play you either pay with time or money and being "lvl 99 with all the goodies" without spending any money is the same as "being lvl 99 with all the goodies" and not wasting 6 months grinding away.

Too much information. I agree with you guys and almost everything seems like it's some sort of "True or False". But guys, this is actually intended to be Free to Play. We have the ability to adapt. We also have the ability to complain. But the most easiest thing to do is to adapt to the changes. Be happy with what you have. OMG Im crying. The drama flows. AHHAHA.

Nah! I'd rather pay with money simply because I have it but I don't have to farm all day. But seriously speaking, I couldn't agree more of what sunnyangel said. It's just some players don't have the patience farming stuff when in fact they don't have the money to buy IM stuff, oh well Rohan has never been free to play for lazy people. Stop complaining if you don't have the money to make your life simpler. Like what I always hear "money is the king," but the game is fairly free to play. Just like what this poster said you either pay with your time or money, so deal with it

I literally survived in rohan for 6 and 1/2 years off just the EM. Countless hours farming stupid **** making chump change, using big5 glitch, using ses glitch, SPAMMING EVENTS! etc. Some months I couldnt make it and some friends helped me out but it wasnt until around 6 months ago that I started regularly charging 25 bucks a month to get my IM kit.


Events were a huge source of my upkeep especially close to the end. Fortune treasure pocket season 2 and the event server were huge lifesavers for me.
