Thread: Back to game

    Back to game

Can anyone tell me if there has been any good changes to this game? Is it even slightly more possible to play for fun without as much RPS and be just a bit competitive?

Just want to know if it's worth to come back.

Welcome back! Best thing I could tell you is try it for yourself and decide. There is RPs involved specially in Jainus server, but there is quite the competitive bunch in there.
It's definitely worth to come back, and if once you're back you just don't feel it you can try it again this coming march when the new race is revealed!

Upgrade is sold all the time on the IM costs $80 to make which is much less than the original 2 upgrades.

Does it still cost a lot to be a superstar DPS? ofc however if you suck it up and admit you cant be the best without money commitment you can still pvp.

    lets go over the gear:

Weaps: Option stones are stronger! you can no longer get below 45% DD when using 3 "shiny" DD stones and one "adorned" option stone. Having said that lets look at your options:

1: Upgrade glacial parts: Costs $20 per part $80 for all 4 forging a weapon with all 4 parts is obviously the best.
2: Mix/Match upgrade glacial parts: It is an option not necessarily a good one.
3: Boosted glacial weapons: There are some regular glacial weapons that got a 35% increase in stats. You can find them on the Em on the cheap maybe more if they have 65% DD.
4: Regular glacial weapons: The regular glacials that the mobs drop can get you 6x % hp which might be enough depending on what you are playing.

Armor: IF YOU PVP SKILL DEFENSE ARMOR IS A MUST! (Just the chest/tasset & optional shield) SD armor gives you damage drop from dekan's skill FFS and DFFS which hit absurdly hard if you dont have SD.

Chest: Heroic Combine Chest 12% Skill Defense and up. (18% is the max)
Tasset: Heroic Combine Tasset 12% Skill Defense and up. (18% is the max)
Shield: Heroic Combine Shield 9% Skill Defense. (9% is the max)
Helmet/Boots/Goves varry depending on your class.

Avengers, Predators, Guardians, Str Defenders: Onyx (STR) +12 (gives 104 str per piece)
Templars, Warlocks: Onyx (INT) +12 (gives 104 INT per piece)
Rangers, Scouts: Onyx (DEX) +12 (gives 104 dex per piece

Vit classes are an exception to the rule they can wear a full 5 set of onyx (DEX) since it gives 75 vit and 25 all stats. And they generally dont need SD since they will have 300k+ hp.

    Rings:
For vit classes rings are relatively cheap since they can wear earth twins. Other classes need pure attack so they need to reinforce boss drops (to +12 and higher) the other rings are going to be some vit/hp ring above +8.

    The IM:
The IM is actually a lot cheaper than it was before since they got rid of a lot of stuff (gen tali, gold trophy) the costumes are permanent and you pay for the stats you want to put in them. (which costs a little more than the regular costumes do to balance out the loss of the talismans) lvl 7s are cheaper than they were before since RP is charged and ecash is what you get from the EM. Scrolls are more expensive but you can also buy scrolls from the acheivement point store (points you earn for doing stuff in rohan).

    The rest:
Other things to point out about rohan today are:

1: The lvl cap is 115 and there are bonus lvls called conqueror lvls which require experience above 115 (900% will get you +10 giving you 100 or so all stats and some skill resistance)

2: The lvl cap of some older dungeons (fire temple garden, water temple garden, ronelia) were increased so you have different places to grind.

3: The ashkeena dungeon is an instanced grind spot (it lasts 4 hours you can enter 5 times? a week resetting on weds) this should help if you get pked a lot or are not at the PC.

4: The hunterkit is a "bot" that will kill mobs within a certain radius of you. It was built due to the high exp requirements and to kill the illegal bot obviously. This coupled with the ashkeena dungeon allows you to grind while you sleep or while you are doing something else.

5: The war song system rewards players for participating in pvp scenarios. You can earn badges of victory from these pvp scenarios and use them to purchase titles (titles give stats) the best title (star of victory) requires 255 victory badges in total.

6: There is a new class coming within the next month or so which you may or may not want to try out.

But he did not want to know if you know anything in this game (and if not at what extent).

He just wanted to know if it'd worth to come back ; in extenso if this game is funny again or not ; not being flooded with numbers and things he doesn't even know.

    do you even read ?

It's okay, GM Strellan, here's a pat in your back for being the clown h24. You do a great job at it, don't worry.

I am not qualified to decide if the game is worth it for him to come back. If I tell him **** yea its worth it to come along and he doesnt like it then it makes me look bad. I presented the facts and let him make up the mind himself.

There is a phrase you should learn. "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink." I lead him to the water and it was his choice to drink or not.
