Exactly! All attack bonuses make an absolute mess of balance. That said each attack form should have its bonuses (up to reasonable single-digit percentage limits) so each specialization can reach its max potential. But even then Temps will still have an advantage as long as their blunt is based on magic attack and can be enhanced with melee attack. Double-dipping in any class is never good for balanced gameplay. Melee attack modifiers should never apply to templar's converted melee. That is something that will never be addressed here for several reasons.
