Its too bad they keep trying to add the stat to damage crap that ends up being as retarded as blunt mastery has been forever...it would be so much better if they'd do away with that **** that obviously multiplies in ****ed up ways and adds too much pure attack.
We've been saying that for literally years, and the first thing they do to "balance" classes is by adding stat multipliers in every skill/class they can find. I mean, c'mon.

I would beg to differ personally. When you are competing with others over who's the top dog in this game you get a pretty good grasp of what's too strong and what isn't, and the only classes I personally would argue wouldn't have been PvP-viable before epics were Dex Scouts, Str Scouts(though their damage could be decent enough) and Savages. And while some of the other classes might be a bit less appreciated - Warlocks, Predators, Berserker and Dexguards come to mind primarily - I can assure you they all can provide your team with interesting capabilities, Warlocks can fully isolate a single target's abilities, Preds can AOE hide and their traps could be godlike if they were tanky, Berserkers can silence, disarm and provide a party with a short boost in strength, and finally Dexguards have the highest PvP DPS in the game once they unleash a fully charged OS on a target not blessed with Crit Immu and 100% Ice Resistance. But the problem with a lot of the classes was this: They can be debuffed clean by Temps and Wizards within seconds. Heavily nerf and/or remove Templar Erase, make Killing Time not chainable with Area Dispel - these two changes alone would've flipped the game upside down back then. Now it's beyond late.
All the classes need an overhaul IMO
For starters a lot of the buffs should be turned into passives like is there any reason for a guardian not to have invoke up? is there any reason for a warlock not to have strong mind up? Basically if it lasts 10 minutes or longer there is probably justification that it should just be a passive buff.
With all these passive buffs debuff as a skill needs to be removed and replaced with 2 types of skills spread across each class.
a) stop damage mitigation (chance to break things like magic barrier, obli, dn, magic reflect, casual loop etc.)
b) combo interupts (hard disable that breaks combo skill such as crazy standing, storm assault, siege shot, fixation etc.)
To counter these 2 types of skills we need to add resistance buffs that prevent stuns or prevent combo interupts for x time
example: predator party buff provides 100% stun resist for 6 seconds or warlock impervious shield prevents combo interupts for 6 seconds.
On top of this you need to balance every class piece by piece so they more or less fit into a box for X and Y situation and ofc.... have the ability to excel at small or large scale pvp.

I'm personally against turning everything into a passive, debuff itself is fine and provides a simple solution to combos and other types of crucial buffs. The ability to rob the opponent of stuff that he needs in order to do damage is good - it's just placed on the wrong characters. Templars have good enough damage, good single target control, are impervius to CC for a few minutes and have the ability to heal themselves, it should've been obvious that adding more flavour to that package wasn't needed. Same with Wizards, they already have an absurd amount of CC + Killing time to make it even better, it's simply too much to be considered balanced.
Btw you can interrupt combos with stuns already so I don't see a reason to create skills specifically designed to break them. Most combos are 10 seconds long, with many stuns/AOE stuns lasting 3+ seconds, Rush can last up to 8 seconds, leave it to your supports to neutralize combos, that's what they are there for.
Make debuffs remove more special skills like storm assault and order swing that way those classes have to time their combo just right by the second.
