that has been done dozens of times in the past 4-5 years. the bottom line is this. i've sent them in myself only to see them ignored.
let's put it this way: if a change does not bring in more money, they won't spend the money to make the change.

The cheapest alternative would be to transfer characters to other accounts and replace the 7 merged servers into 1 server with each acct having 4 character slots. Players who fail to transfer their characters after <date> will have their four highest lvl characters on their account with the rest deleted. In the event that there are more than 4 characters at the "highest lvl" point the characters will be prioritized by server ranked by the highest average lvl.That is a good thought that has been suggested to them a dozen times over the last 6 years. It won't happen.
I have a good idea why since I know how a rohan server is put together.
Trust me the cost of changing their server deployment pattern will be far more expensive than they will want to spend on a game that is just barely breaking even. A lot simpler (and cheaper!) to add content, merge or add servers into the existing deployment structure.

Well, it's fine, after all, just a nice thought to make life a b it easier. This is in no means needed, just be nice to have, but I fully agree, this game has a lot more stressing needs and fixes to be done of course.

Transfer to other accounts? don't go there. even if there were such a thing as a character transfer service, all their untradeable stuff has to be transferred too (not all things can be traded). trying to coordinate that would be a nightmare and a bazillion tickets created when things go wrong (you just know they will)
and what about the guys that don't get the memo that have, say 6 chars, all equipped with upgrades and enhanced boss drops? I can just see the massive rq now.

If you dont get the memo in 30-60 days you obviously dont give a hoot about your chars and neither did your friends to let you know about it. Playwith has handled this type of thing before removing inactive accounts and now they are removing inactive characters/guilds. The process for making those transfers would be for players to make a ticket outlining their source account/char and their destination account/char followed by screenshots of the character & its inventory (with a description of what they have). The transfer will be done over maintenance and items will be loaded throughout the following week.
The same process is used after processing a name/gender change to get your non tradable stuff back you need to post a ticket showing what you had prior to deleting and wait for them to restore.

Do you really think transferring chars and goods BETWEEN ACCOUNTS is that easy for them? Gender/name change is for characters on the same account? Not a big deal and it is only one or two (if that) per maintenance. And to do it they kick off a simple stored procedure with the souirce/target name or source/target gender. EZ PZ. It is easy to verify the account is yours - and you are paying RPs for the service.
But across accounts? How do you verify that? IP addresses? Sorry, but I can log into the game with a VPN just fine and I have changed ISPs since I created my accounts so the IPs dont match regardless. Email addresses? every account has a unique email address -- most of the time from yahoo, live or gmail.
PWYNKI has no idea the accounts you want to transfer character between belong to you. Should they blindly transfer chars and goods from a "friend's" an account that you have access to yours? And what happens when that friend shows up after the merge and find his/her chars and stuff plundered -- by PWYNKI and you?
Think it through. What you are suggesting is so easy to exploit is is not funny. Not to mention having to do that with dozens of accounts is prohibitively hard for these guys to do.

A screenshot of the characters inventory with a list of items to transfer (that matches the logs showing what you deleted) should be sufficient if it somehow manages to be exploited there was obviously account sharing going on and the restoration will be denied. Also you cant make support tickets from accounts that are not the account's registered email.

So...anyways? Temporal modifications are being made on 1/6 tomorrow that is. When is the actual merge was it made public yet?
nobody knows when it is going to be but we can only assume it will be within the next few weeks since this week was the last tsb of both servers.
