    What is this?

    What does this mean? I cant log into the game from my desk top loader and when I try from my short cut, I keep dcing every few moments. ><

    O wells, having some work done to my comp early next week so guess that's a good a time as any to do it

    go to

    <root drive>:/windows/system32/drivers/etc

    your root drive is mainly C but if you have multiple drives it could be anything.

    Once in that folder there is a file named hosts you need to open it with notepad and make sure that there are no lines that dont start with a #. Some programs that you install make these host file entries because they are the first step in resolving names (turning names like login.playrohan.com into an IP address)

    Ok I couldn't find any file named hosts in the drivers folder itself, but theres a sub folder in the drivers folder named "etc" and there's a host file in there. I open that with note pad? Just making sure Im going to the right place.

    mm wait, that doesn't seem right. I opened it and it tells me "This is a sample HOSTS file" blah blah blah

    make sure there are no lines that dont start with # and yes it should be in etc I forgot.

    D; I usually get that error when I install & play some rohan private server. I haven't tried Ace's suggestions but if I do a system restore in a point when I didn't had the private rohan server installed it works. You could try that too if it's still not working. Reinstalling it never works for me.
