Archer vs. Gunner

Just asking since there isn't much info out there-

I'm a hunter, coming up to the class change (lv130 now). I've been playing single-target and STR build, trying to decide between archer and gunner.

What are your opinions about how the classes compare to one another? Gunner is single-target, Archer is AOE. Are either more valuable to parties? Does one have broken skills or anything? Which is more effective in PVP?

if you focus for damage and single type -> use gunner, magic and AoE -> archer
