But you must agree that, if you choose str/dex/vit you will be able to utilize these rings on more chars, than in case with agi/dex/vit right?
I havent looked on brandish kick with or w/o str buffs + xbow, but i presume you will still hit harder with more str, because it says it will deal dmg according to your melee attack.
Too many secrets are locked inside your minds, but you're all equal in life, equal in love.

I have noticed that there are two types of ranged rings. One type has strength/dex/vit, and the other has agi/dex/vit.

The question is, between agi vs str, how do they each affect scout/ranger in both offense and defense? What are the pros and cons of both when comparing them? And finally, is one better for a scout, and other for ranger? If so, which is meant for which class and why?

I've tried to test between the two, but I could not see any noticeable differences, and was hoping someone could shed some light on the mechanics of those two stats and how they affect the half elf. Thanks in advance!
Sorry to pop in so late in the thread

As others have noted agi on a ranger/scout is helpful only for pve where it helps keep mobs from hitting you. You do NOT get crit advantages from agi on a ranged damage class. Dhans on the other had get good crit boosts from agi since they are a melee rather than ranged damage class and have buffs that increase damage based on agi.

For rangers and scouts the str and dex stats are better for you. As others have said str gives you that pdef and some more regular damage ikn the few melee based skills, the dex for a ranger/scout is important for its gives accuracy. That translates into more and higher damage ranged attack crits. There are also some skills that use dex for increased damage.

No problem! Thanks for being so thorough. And yes, while others said what you have said, I've been trying to get multiple people's opinions just to see if there were any inconsistencies among different people. By no means was I discounting the words of previous posters. Thanks for the input from all you guys.
