Why ISEN is so dead.. ?

I came back to game and went to Isen server just to realize that nobody is there. :l

YNK/Playwith made it a pay-to-win server. They did it in subtle ways that some people wouldn't notice. :

1. The drop rate is veeeerrrryyyy low. It takes a very long time to get the parts you need to forge a decent weapon and set of armor. It could literally take weeks to get them. The success rates are piss-poor, also, so they KNOW that you're going to spend money of preservation stones. In the end, you end up spending a ton of money for this.

2. As this server was being unveiled, Atzigan told us that this server was going to be based around crafted weapons and armor. The people in charge WANT you to rely on crafted equipment, that's why they lowered the drop rates for everything else... but why? Crafted equipment takes a LOT of RPS to maintain. Compare a Fenatti's Ray to a Chimara Mace. Their base damage is about the same. A good Fenatti's Ray has 45-50% Melee, 35%+ DD, and 30+ Str from enchantment. Once you make that weapon, you're done with it. A Chimera Mace has +30 Str, Dex, and Vit. You have to put socket stones on it to add Melee Attack, Damage Drop, Hp Absorption, or whatever you want to put on it.

These stones are how they suck your money from your wallet. You CAN get these stones in-game, but the stats they give only last a few days, and they are hard to get. Some lasts for 3 days, some last a week, some last a month. The ones from IM last either 7 days or a month, and can fail. Either way, with crafted equipment, you will end up having to pay for them forever.

Another thing is, the best option stone for PvE, Flag of Roha, does NOT exist for crafted weapons. This option stone gives "Armor Defense". It doesn't work based on your armor at all though, it boosts your pdef and mdef like how Ward does, or like how a defense scroll does. For killing monsters, this is BETTER than DD... but they didn't add this one. They wanted you to spend more money over all on DD option stones and option stones for your armor. This is why people leave the game. YNK/PW have made this game so jagged and rusty for people who don't want to spend hundreds of dollars in real life currency to be good in a video game, that will someday shut down, causing you to lose everything you invested in.


You also have to look at the big picture. It started in 2008, and it's 2015 now. A lot of the people who have played have moved to other games. Some people have grown up, started a family, and become too busy to play this. The dozens of private servers that have sprung up over the last 3-4 years have taken a bite out of this game's population as well. This game hasn't had any real advertising effort, and the fact that this game is Pay-to-Win isn't pushing away more players that it's bringing in. New people DO come, but they leave very quickly.
