How to costumes?

So, I see the costume building items in the item mall, but where are the costumes themselves? Id really like to pick up a costume and I havent been on for quite a while. Are the costumes gone for good?

Costumes have changed. You can't buy them in IM directly anymore.

You need to buy yourself permanent costumes so you can use those (ignore the date stuff - it still works):

Each piece (costume or hat) gives you 3 sockets to put in 'patterns'. You then equip your favorite mix of 30 day patterns to make up the costume stats the way you want. Keep in mind you can't put in 3 patterns of the same kind (i.e. you can NOT put 3 90 vit patterns in the costume & 3 90 vit patterns in the hat to give yourself 540 vit - that wont work).
