I've had this issue before and I think it has something to do with your computer running out of memory to load all the graphics. Essentially, you disconnected from Seal at the moment of login and other players can't see you either. Just restart the game (maybe a few times necessary), maybe restart your computer and update, and you should be fine.

I fixed mine by playing with my Firewall and Security and I agree with Notoriouss, your game "partially" loaded. It means it's done loading the map but the connection to the server was severed so your client didn't receive info like where the NPC/portal is placed and player coordinates so it has nothing to display. That's how I see it anyway.
