Nerfing the weapons shouldn't be an options actually because then the prices on the 3.0 ones will skyrocket and stay expensive as fk. Right now giving the players the option to access weapons and armors of the same caliber should be the right thing to do for both PvE and PvP. Lets say sell them on IM for a decent amount and at a lvl you can get right in the action without grinding too much.
