It depends where you buy it.. "Dirty" market is like a meat place that's outdoors which sells stuff that's a lot cheaper than buying in super market grocery stores.
And $5 is like 220 php, if you compare 220 php and $220, you can still buy a lot lot more stuff in dollars versus php.
