Well no one forced you to spend money in that game, it's your fault, it's an official svr. and need of maintenance and to can run continuously all these previous years, they needed and will continue to need of money.

well, back then there were 7-10 times more people playing - and happily paying to buy their IM scrolls, talis, costumes and SES. Nobody was complaining except for the usual grumbles about high IM costs and game bugs.

Releasing epics and upgrades was pure and simple greed on YNK's part. Worse it totally sh!t on the face of all of those players that worked really hard to get their valuable high end, 'best in the server' gear forged. There was no reason whatsoever for YNK to destroy that by releasing epics and upgrades. The players were NOT asking for them. YNK could easily run these servers on the income from what its players were spending. It was 100% their greed that totally fked up this game and nothing else. Since then it has been all downhill.

No, Nobody forced anybody to spend money in the game between 2008 and 2010. People could play and compete with the normal IM boosters. But when you turn around and release OP IM stuff for the price of $225 USD, in a market where the best gear was being created in game by the players themselves, that is where 30% of Rohan's players said fk that and ragequit. The other 20% left when YNK turned around and sold even WORSE stuff -- Upgraded weapons parts that cost even MORE, especially when you consider the forging necessary. So what happened to the value of all the stuff the players created in-game rather than from IM parts? Well, the value of that stuff pretty much got flushed down the toilet. Either buy your upgrade stuff or get someone who bought an epic to sell theirs (for insane amounts of hard cash) or you can't compete.

THAT is why people want an 'old school' lv99 server. They don't want glacials, ruler, beze, epics, upgrades or any of that. They want this game reset back to the game it was befire YNK made a dog's lunch out of it.

It will never happen here so there are pservers out there working really hard to give that to them - and in some rare cases succeeding.

I remember when ahkma was full of lowbies lvling and looking for pts, damn those good old days. Sadly Ahkma is not much worth lvling there anymore. I would say its out dated in that mobs need at least a 10 lvl boost all over it bosses drops arent worth sh!t either. Crystal quarry could have a 10 lvl boost to it to. Like lowbies rather than going directly to tutorial just go to Crystal quarry lvl there to 30-35 then move to ahkma lvl there to 50-55 then go to Carronia. Then from there to R1 at around lvl65-70. Remembering the old days lvling could help make some changes that would help new players actually have fun lvling and grinding without making it hard for them.
I would add to this if PWI could sell Epics like with the same amount of stats than the old ones. For farming purposes or if players don't have the amount of $$ to buy full glac upgds at least make an alternative to upgds not as op but close to it. I find this old school weaps handy but with less every day making them hard to obtain or even unobtainable. Ofc Crafted/Upgds being greater than them. That means another income for the game.
