i just downloaded the game ( 5 min ago ) and the loader says : cannot dl the file ( the updates )

You probably have a LARGE batch of files to download and its having errors downloading everything in 1 shot. Just try opening the loader again and again and again.

You need to realize the rohan client is almost never updated on download mirrors so you could have anywhere from 8 months to 3 years worth of updates to download. Just keep restarting the loader after the error comes and it should download the full patch eventually.

Doesn't firewall block also give the same error? been a while since i had this one but I know that really slow or unstable net does it and firewall. Check to see if rohan is allowed exception in your firewall. Maybe Im wrong but can't hurt to check

i had to erase the all sentence without the # in the host file then this worked

Yeah the host file acts as the 1st line of name resolution (above DNS lookups completely) so if you had a stale host file entry it would cause that problem. You dont normally hear about hostfile issues since its such an old piece of technology (essentially a pocket phone book for web resources) I would have never thought of that.
