How should I build my Guardian class in this new system?

Hello, I just started playing the game again after like 10 years, and the game seems way different with the skill sets and stats now.

What is the meta/new build for a Guardian now?

I'm wondering the same thing my friend I've build a full Str Guard but I confess that I regret for this decision.. it seems that VIT chars are the meta for this new version where you spend points in vitality and gains melee as a bonus. VIT defenders have double the melee than a full Str Guard, it really feels useless... I hope they change something
