Main Quest Question, Please help!

Hey, I am up to the point where in the main quest log it says "Arus Gave me the Lion Crest as a symbol that of trust from Arus. He assured me that if I show the crest, people will treat me with respect."

I remember from previous versions the next step was go to go D. end and go onto the next quest. Nothing happens when I talk to D. end and when I go west of laywook forest nothing happens at any of the NPC's (including the brainwashed fairies). That is including even after I get past the guard. Martin tells me he cannot let me pass. Then it says maybe we should go back and talk to D. end.. and he does not help at all. Some help would be much appreciated!
