I refuse to get me a VISA - not even in gold.
Well, maybe if in real gold, but still.

Mastercard for me and Platinum only. I don't use Visa or Amex (at least not anymore for the amex since I no longer need a corporate card).
I'm oldschool, I don't need credit.
If I need credit, it means I cannot afford it so I shouldn't.
This does not apply to mortgage and car, but does on mostly anything else.
They are quite handy tbh. Most of the vacation reservations require a credit card. I have mine from work actually - so they can pay my travel costs before I need to pay them myself ^^
I've never required a visa for holidays, but I stayed within the EU borders though. I suppose there'll be a work around when the need arises.
Anyhow, my debit card allows for a -1500 EUR limit, but I have never used or needed that TBH.
hmm... Nowadays Credit cards are copied or used the details of the card, so beware guys.
---- just a reminder
Depends where you are. The magnetic stripe can certainly be read with a stripe reader and copied. I used to be able to duplicate cards that were based on mag stripes (an acquired skill when you used to program ATM terminals). The cards that have a chip on them are not open to that type of copying (or any other that I know of). That is why most banks in Europe and and all banks in Canada use them for debit cards. In Canada all credit card companies have converted to chip cards.
I haven't heard of any case where those are copied (only stolen and used as-is).
Whatever it was youj were getting at there went ...
