As you break rules the mods add karma to you. After a certain level, you get banned. Dunno if they are actually using it or just haven't figured out how to disable it.
I disable that karma and reputation crap on my board since I would know who was being an ass and who isn't.

Here there are so many members and mods involved that maybe they need it to keep track of the asshats. What better way to track the problem kids than with their own accts, right? Also it lest the rest of us know who the tools are.

Karma = The amount you give when you give another person rep.
Rep = Your reputation.

Karma is earned/lost by fulfilling certain goals. You cannot minus another player's rep, but the mods are able to do so. We're still in the process of determining whether we should enable the ability to - another player's rep.

Oh crap, don't do that!! You think normal flaming and bashing is bad? Enable users to put - rep and you will have forum wars for sure. I'm not kidding here! I have seen boards fall to absolute pieces with just about every member hating the others by allowing that.

Yes. Your concern is the same as ours. This is why it's not enabled at the moment. Was just stating that the idea wasn't ruled out yet.

Well you guys must have JUST turned off the - rep feature, because I had the option to + or - people until just about 3 days ago.
