Anyone remember rohan origin? omegalul
No. .
I still don't know what everyone's fascination is with 2008 game was hella imbalanced anyone could get unlocky and become a shotta woweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Most balanced period of rohan was that epic-upg 1.0 time pre +18 or even pre +18 boss drops. Could run almost any build and do fine (with the exception of mages who get shafted for dps) but are still super valuable for pvp.
I partly agree with this, adding too much all stats/flat attack ruined the game. However i do think upgraded weapons aren't the best choice my preferred time was, no upgrades but max lvl 99 ancients like david woe, fenati's etc and crafting system with the ADV/IPV rings which only added those 3 different stats and no flat attack.
However going back to a de-volution server won't work it's been tried time after time and it fails…..
I wish there was an upvote or like button in this forum...
My own opinion on it that whenever any game publisher interferes with game mechanics by providing cash shop only OP-for-a-price goods is a 100% recipe for failure. Nothing good ever comes from that P2W policy for the game players.
Yup that's the biggest mistake, not to mention the constant power creep that's required to be put on new items in order for people to want and need them compared to their old gear while other aspects and game balance always lags behind. This creates a constant balance deficit that's very hard to overcome unless you pre-test everything and release a re-balance with every major change in power creeping items. Something that requires both extensive testing and planning, which isn't PWI's strong point.
Nah upg 1.0 and epics with boss drops was the most balanced time. The only classes that were not viable were mages (sans snatch warlock) and scouts. Stats were not that out of control everyone was killable and had an opportunity to react (not getting shotta)
Sorry to contradict but only those that purchased their OP weapons were "balanced" with others that purchased those OP weapons. If you didn't have one, you were royally boned. Before polluting the game with high-priced premium cash shop items the devs had a very good chance of creating and maintaining blalance across all players, not just those that laid down the hundreds of dollars to buy their "balance". But after the cat was let out of the bag, there were now suddenly the "haves" that could play on an even keel with their like-geared peers & "have nots" that could not compete against their OP opponents. Let us all not forget the hundreds of players that simply walked away after YNK crapped all over their hard work in farming and forging the best weapons in the server.
Fast forward several years of power creep and iterations of upgrades, if you don't have one in your arsenal or transmuted to your arrendal, you might as well pack up and go play some other game.
Completely agree with the first part, however the last part highlighted in red isn't true. Some classes are perfectly viable with abyss weapons and some other classes work with opaniel weapon too. You don't HAVE to have an upgraded weapon per se, however I do agree that in many cases upg user wins vs non upg user. It's however quite possible to be PVP competitive while using only abyss/opa weapons.
To put this in perspective, not being able to attend PA and thus not having the PA badge is WORSE than not having an upgraded weapon and having to do with opa/abyss. Imagine how bad of a complete f*ck up that PA badge is for people who simply can't attend PA or are sick of doing them 300+ days a year. I've seen so many players being driven away by the PA system and yet season after season nothing changes.
Ofc most people here are okay with whaling Rohan, but if you ask anyone else... lol No new player are able to start this game and it's basically dead. Rohan Origin was a ****ty idea and it has nothing to do with a classic restart.
WoW Classic is succesful, because it brought back the social aspect of MMOs. Rohan was great in this too. Also it was harder to level, there were no bs systems, no stupid daily/weekly ****z, auto bots, dlvled weapons to lvl1, OP weapons, too high max level, etc.
Rohan 2008-10 with minor updates (like balance and no P2W) would be perfect. But we would need a bunch of players too. It was just fun leveling in Ahkma, etc too. Ofc it will never happen. But the current game is only for whales and it's just sad.
I won't deny that the viability of some classes was dependent on those weapons however there were ways in that era to participate and make meaningful impact in pvp without owning an upgrade. Shiny options did exist any of the vit classes (wizzies, fishes, defenders, priests etc.) were viable and dual wielding classes (mainly guardian) were also viable.
However snipers is right the way the game works now you could use the abyss weapon or the trans opaniel weapon in pvp but obviously having the best of all worlds is what upgs are for. And yeah I miss PA all the f^&*( time which is why I gave up on that life after the 1st season.
That part of the game simply wasnt fun and it was only made fun by having a bunch of people who didnt know what to do. At this point all those pea server folk and most of the old guard know the fastest way to 99 all the spots you can lvl all the tricks its just not fun.
Just open new sv cap 99 an chimera system only :) no lower upper just minor dungeon .. PA will best at that sv .. That sv max item +12 only i wish :)
Some genius gonna say that isen was lvl 115 wtf wrong with you iceyy blabla bull****
The isen system was so boring that I quit and sold my **** at lvl 96 because just like all new servers they are only fun for the first month and change. Fact of the matter is that there is nothing to relive we all know how the story is gonna go this game isnt exactly rocket science.
Around 10.000 Users in 5 private servers.
Around 500 Users in Original ROHAN.
Do the math if you are any good company manager, you will open new server and try to lure those 10.000 users back to Original ROHAN.
Simple as that, more money, more users, more advertising, bigger salaeries in the company, less greed for p2w, everyone will benefit.
SO MORE PLAYERS = MORE MONEY = MORE ADVERTISING = MORE TALKING = MORE SHARING = MORE WAYS TO MAKE IT F2P , OR LESS PLAYERS = LESS MONEY = P2W GAME CUZ THEY NEED SALARIES
And those pea server guys are lame as **** always running away like why would I want to team up with couga and chase nevernajt and co from pea server to pea server.
I don't see the meaning of a new server since they are not able to manage the current ones, in the current servers there have been a lot of changes which have benefited Americans and Indonesians or Europeans. The most real activity dropped when they implemented the Power Arena system together with the population, now only who lives in America / Ph or Indo is advantageous to play Power Arena and of course, in the absence of playing PA you lose the most important shet in game (200000 Hp talisman -__-). Currently on the 'popular' Jainus server there are balance differences between those who hold UPG and those who do not hold UPG, a 2.0 UPG weapon that is the best now costs between 50-100k e-cash / RPS if you are new and want to get the money out of your wallet it means a fortune. I have already seen a lot of servers that have failed for various reasons but the main reason is that RBF in recent years has been in the hunt for profit.
Like IMHO the pvp/honor system is so underutilized the PA talisman should come from there and make PA give a truckload of pvp/honor points instead.
Ideal system should be like:
PVP/honor system gives you points for killing mobs & killing players etc.
PA gives truckload of pvp points
Boss kills give truckload of mob kill points
At the end of maint based on your point tier you earn a badge and roll for specialty items based on your tier
Tier 0:
[what pvp/honor gives now]
Tier 1:
[Scrolls, talismans, trans stones, spirit stones, sub currencies, low chance for +12 ticket etc.] + exp pouch
Tier 2:
[Alm scrolls, costume patches (random stat), shiny trans stones, +12 tickets, +15 tickets etc. ] + exp pouch
At the end of 3 months if you hit tier 2 every maint you get the fancy reward.
Advantage is that you get exp pouches more often and you are rewarded for doing other content not just having perfect attendance record in power arena.
It would be a good move to get the world out on the maps but even so, the chances of seeing players coming back or population growing up are very small, there are too many things to gain and too much money to waste, you can be able for pvp or do something other than farm. Even the farm became very expensive if you want top up armor or weapon (Abyss) you need a character with a very good gear so you can resist there, even so you need to join a strong party. If you do not have a character with full IM things (ases, costume patterns) there is no chance to farm on abyss maps. coz Rohan Blood Feud has become a game where even to farm you have to donate large sums.
Yeah there would have to be some kind of returning player promo where players coming back get untradable equipment set thats good enough to jump into 2020 content.
