1) How many players left? I would guesstimate about 300 with Isen and Jainus combined. Few enough that PWynkI had to reduce game server hardware to a minimum to support 2 low population servers.

-- The ability to acheive 775K+ melee if you are a templar
-- The necessity of having at least 200K HP on a non-vit character to be even halfway viable pvping at the ebd gane level
-- The ability to achieve 90+ %DD
-- The ability to reinforce/enhance boss drops
-- Enhance-able permanent tokens that increase various stats and attack power.
-- Trinity race (personally I see these as a total cluster***k but they are something new). It is poorly integrated to the game (can't sell them or get weapons back that you 'transmute'). You will need to form your own opinions in them.

3) Is YNK even considering running this server for much longer?
I played a amazing game while growing up and just last year they closed the servers for that game. All my effort was deleted. I dont want to return to experience the same fate.
I think there might be a year or two left in this game. It depends on how well Rohan 2 is received. If it does well, I can't see this version surviving long at all. My best advice to you is if you don't feel comfortable, don't spenmd a lot of money here.
4) Are Rangers obsolete? and what about strength Avengers?
Both classes can be viable. Currently the classes showing the best promise at the moment is the Humans.
5) anything else that could be important that I did not bring up.
Can't think of much atm beyond this:
Official Rohan is extremely expensive game to play if you want to be competitive. It always has been, but that aspect has gotten far worse over the years. Part of what is driving that is the low population and the ongoing financial need of the publisher to make a profit. The money has to come from somewhere and for Rohan it is the players. The fewer the players, the more it costs for each player left rises. More players will usually translate into lower player costs per player.
