We would like to inform you that this error is basically the incompatibility of your firewall
in our server connection. Below are the following procedure that may help you resolve your
issues.
1. Restart your PC or client.
2. Make sure you are logged in as an administrator.
3. Make sure your internet settings are properly configured to play ROHAN.
4. Modify your firewall to allow the game. ROHAN uses ports 25000-30000.
5. Disable your anti-virus before you run the client.
6. Try re patching the client by clicking the "check" box at the start-up window.
7. Disable any program which may cause a conflict with the game client.
8. Attempt to load the game under a different windows compatibility setting. (Right-click icon, Properties, Compatibility Tab)
9. Attempt to re download the client from another computer.
10. Uninstall, remove all ROHAN files, and reinstall the client.

Here are some instructions and reasons why you cannot connect to ROHAN:
After the installation, kindly restart your computer and run Loader.exe
We would to ask if you are using a router or wireless connection when connecting to the game?
If router try to connect directly without the use of router to check if you can connect to the server.
If wireless, check the connectivity if you have strong signal and check your ISP provider if there are issues within your area.
Reasons:
Having a poor connection between us and you.
Being on a weak wireless connection.
Player is unable to connect to the servers.
Route/gateway/firewall is interfering with our connection to you
DEP or UAC settings in vista and xp.

Well, i sent another ticket, just will wait for it's reply and add here later FYI.

Can you download the latest client (updated last week - don't forget the hotfix Euthen posted in News and infomations forum IF troubles logging in (see more specified detail about what error in said post)). Download it (on another pc/laptop). Install rohan on a portable HDD and run it on another pc (preferably on the same network!). See if it runs, if it doesn - try it on a friends/relatives pc on a different network. If it runs on the other pc, then it's clear that the client is cleared of all bugs, now attach the HDD to your problem-pc and run the game from HDD. Does it work?
If so, copy it from your HDD to your pc. If it doesn't, then there's something wrong with your pc or network settings.
What i see as possible problems:
- Antivirus: Avast! Free Antivirus v7.0.1426 (sandbox: OFF) [after the above and still any issues: completely de-install this software and try again - probably a clean rohan install required]
- Firewall: Windows Firewall: ON (shut it down, OFF, disabled, completely shut off - especially on your first time running)
- Using OpenDNS (if possible, disable this..)
- MV reg clean version: 6.0 (eventually de-install this as well - putting it on offline usually won't do the trick)
After done all of the above and if it runs, try enabling one program at a time. Starting with your firewall, if it still works, go for the next etc. This to figure out what was the actual cause.
Also, dunno if it's any useful, lower your security settings of your browser (IE, chrome, whatever)
Sorry for the late reply, first time i look into this thread.
ps.s.: when de-installing rohan, always go back to your C:\\game directory file - to delete whatever is still left there before doing a new install.

Dude, I tried adding you on MSN but you didn't accept my request. And come back here I'm flipping bored for the next few days until I quit Rohan for the next few months :D

- Installed on external hdd
- Firewall disabled / avast totally disabled
- download last version from .torrent
- gave full permision to all users
- no regclean or mv regclean
- openned as administrator (all users)
- changed loader.dat like the forum msg
- (plus) changed loader.dat and rohanclient.exe sent by GM thought ticket
- no movement on blue and red download bars on loader
- error pop-up appears "Failed to Download Files. Please try again."
*** no success, trying on netbook 01 (first try) ***
- firewall disabled
- avast disabled
- no regclean or mv regclean
- atached external hdd and launched the native loader (without forum or ticket files)
- open as administrator
- same pop-up error
*** no success again, trying on netbook 02 (second try) ***
- ** not in the mood for avast and firewall changes **
- same problem
- **** off, tired of dozen times downloading a 3gb game client and instal/reinstal everytime

Hmm can't help you no further either, sorry. Your game from the HDD runs on other pc's? I mean, someone else's, connected to another network?

Hey Guys yesterday happened yesterday to me, I followed the steps but it didn't work, I sent a ticket and they sent me a nice solution
*** This Solution Worked for me ***
• Go to your Rohan Game Client folder
• Delete all .set file (eg. 12343456.set)
• Delete "GameGuard" folder
• Delete or clear your history and cache on each and every browsers you have
• Restart your computer
• Try to log your character online (I just ran the launcher and it was fixed after I followed the steps above)

I'm having the same issues, I've done a lot of the stuff said here, but no luck so far. I lost a lot of IM buff scrolls and HK because of this nonsense... I just sent a ticket.
